* To qualify for this rate, send by e-mail (to mail@nordestcongressi.it) proof of your full-time resident status (letter from your supervisor or department head stating you are attending a postgraduate medical training).

** The Accompanying Person fee entitles to:

Cancellations made in writing and received by the Organizing Secretariat before 24th March 2017 will be eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations received after such date will not be eligible for refund.

LETTERS OF INVITATION

On request, an official letter of invitation will be mailed to help overcome administrative problems and visas. This invitation is not to be considered as covering fees or other expenses.

CALL FOR PAPERS

Participants may voluntarily and spontaneously sign up for any of the following scientific activities by
27th January 2017:

  • YOUNG DOCTORS COMPETITION
  • VIDEO SESSION
  • POSTER SESSION

Abstracts must be submitted using the abstract form by 27th January 2017.

The Social Dinner will be held in “Palazzo Re Enzo” on 28th April at 8.30 pm

NAME BADGE

All registered attendees will receive a name badge. Please wear the badge for all Congress activities.

BANKS

Banks are open from Monday to Friday (Closed on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays). Automatic teller machines (Bancomat) are available for cash withdrawal by credit card 24/7.

CLIMATE

The temperature in Bologna and Verona in April typically ranges between 8 - 18 centigrade degrees during the day.

CURRENCY AND CREDIT CARDS

Like in the rest of the European Union, the official currency is the Euro (€). The most common credit cards are accepted in most of the businesses and hotels. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Diners Club cards are widely accepted at hotels, department stores, shops, and restaurants.

ELECTRICITY

220 - 240 volts alternating current at a frequency of 50 Hz is used in Italy. Outlets in Italy generally accept only plugs with two round pins.

INSURANCE

The Organizers will assume no liability whatsoever for injury or damage to persons or property during the Congress. Please make your own arrangements for health insurance and any other necessary insurance.

PASSPORT

If travelling from one border-free Schengen country to another however, EU nationals are not required to show a passport or national ID card. It is still recommended that you travel with your passport or ID card to prove your identity if necessary though.
Note that Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Ireland, Romania and the UK are not part of the Schengen area, so a passport or ID card is required if travelling to/from these countries.
From other countries, a valid passport is required and in many cases also a visa. Please consult your nearest Italian embassy.

POSTAL SERVICE

Hotels often provide simple postage services. Post offices are open from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 14:00.
